A conversation with the Universe
A woman put bread in the oven and stood in front of the glass.
She could see nothing through it. So she opened the door.
Cool air went in. She closed it, waited, and opened it again.
The universe was leaning against the counter.
Every time you check, it said, you give away the heat.
