The invoice is for $2,400. The work was finished in August.
She has written the email nine times. Too sharp, then too soft, then so apologetic it barely asks for anything at all.
At six this morning the draft is still open on the kitchen table, beside a cup of coffee going cold.
The universe reads it over her shoulder.
It is a good email, it says. Why is it still here?
I want it to be right before I send it.
It has been right since the second draft, it says.
You are not perfecting it. You are holding on to it.
She reads it one last time. Then she says three words out loud, softly, to the empty kitchen.
It is received.
She presses send and closes the laptop before she can watch the inbox.
The money is in her account by Thursday.
An ask that never leaves your hands cannot be answered. Sending is the faith, and the release is what lets it come back.
The Practice
Find the one ask you have rewritten, rehearsed, or left in drafts, and send it today exactly as it is, after saying three words out loud: It is received.
Speaking it first seals the ask with certainty instead of worry. Sending it moves the energy out of your grip and into the field, where it can finally return to you.
